I have just noticed that the tracks are no longer grouped by Album. I much prefered being able to browse by album. It was nice to look at the different soundtracks and pick tracks from the different title. Having all the titles listed makes it take much longer to find something you are looking for and to browse through the albums.

Just my 2 cents, but I much prefered the grouping by album.

Is there a way to change this in your preferences maybe to group the tracks by album?

I agree, it gives a better overview of the albums, that way we can choose things we never heard of.

You're still able to browse by album. I agree seeing just the album then clicking it to view the tracks is more surfer friendly. But at least the Search function is much better.

The advantage of the upgrade (see SAM 2.0 Annoucement in this forum)is everyhthing is now in a database which makes just about anything possible. Before I had to code each individual page which was too time consuming and limited the interactiveness of SST.

This is something I will work on in the future.

How do you browse by Album? Do you mean that all of the tracks are listed by sort order of Album?

I tried to figure out a way but couldn't find it.

I understand why this change would make it easier for stats and searching.

Maybe something that would group things or something like a Windows explorer interface. It would list the albums alphabetically on the side and when you clicked the album, it would display the details (tracks) in the window to the right. The album list could be a call to the database to return the list of unique album titles. The click on the album would use the album name as a search criteria and return the list of available tracks.

I did like the old system better but I only one complaint about the new one. That is that I prefered the albums being a separate menu. Very Happy

I agree with most other people. The old system of finding the Album and then pick the song from there.

I sorta find it hard to believe that the new way is easier to make, it seems more confusing than before, but i don't really know anything about running a web page.

It is actually beginning to amaze me. The number of times this question has been answered.

The other day I was in the chat and this happened:

-SomeDude: Hey, you guys should make the playlist the way it was.

-Cocles: You should read the forums. There must be eight posts in there letting you guys know that the playlist is still under construction. When it is finished it will be organized the way it used to be.

-SomeOtherDude: Hey guys! You ought to make the playlist the way it use to be!

-Cocles: Dude, we just talked about that!

-SomeOtherDude: You did? Ohhh...
