|
Basically, the idea would be to tie into the existing Internet "holiday," Talk Like a Pirate Day.
So, this would designate September 19 as the theme day for swashbuckling scores of all eras. Captain Blood, Pirates of the Caribbean, Robin Hood, etc. Bring out Pirates of Penzance if SST has it!
As a side benefit, we could extend this to chat, "talking" like pirates all day. |

At first glance, I didn't like the idea, but then I started talking like a pirate in my head, and I'm totally all for having this day!

We've actually done this in the past. It usually just sort of happens on Talk Like A Pirate Day. Great fun!
Some people posted links to sites with Pirate words & phrases to help out us newbs.
Adding the swashbuckling scores theme day would be great! |

Great idea!
And it has been already tested in previous years. With good result, I think. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

Yeah, I remembered doing this last year, so I figured it might be worth making it official. |

yep - we played pirate and swashbuckling type scores (those of us that were playing along), and we had links to places to make your own pirate names - fun day. _________________ "insert your own clever quote here.... I'm too lazy to do it." |
