Yes, yes, if I'm popping in it has to be good.
Heavy Metal is arguably Elmer Bernstein's best score ever. It is also definitely his most underrated.
It is also my favorite score of all time. Yes, it kicks that much.
Jeric and I both have bootlegs, because since 1981 this has been the ONLY way to get this on CD short of hiring someone to burn your LP.
That is... until 2 weeks ago.

As Jeric and I discovered, not all bootlegs were equal as mine had some bonus tracks that SST's copy did not. This legitimate disc has the bonus tracks. Back in the old days a bunch of us joked about what our theme music was. Mine were the "Den" tracks from this album. |
