I was wondering if Jeric might be able to move the server to linux. It is far more stable than Windows. Just a thought, if there are any reasons that it can not please let me know because I am curious. |

1. To my knowledge SAM doesn't run under Linux.
2. I will be building another server dedicated solely for SAM soon. I think this will help greatly with stability issues.
3. I never thought Linux was "all that". It's not as stable as everyone seems to think. Windows 2000 has been the most stable OS I've used. I've tried Mandrake, SuSe & Red Hat. They all have their own issues. _________________ "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?." -Maximus

The problems we've been having are with SAM, not Windows. |

For the new system I might suggest XP professional. Been using it at home for 6 months and have yet to see a blue screen or even a lockup! Just my 2 cents worth. _________________ A little rudeness and disrespect can elevate a meaningless interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull day. - Calvin and Hobbes - |

That's what I currently use.
XP Pro SP1
Win2k seems a just little bit more stable becuase it can handle installing of 3rd party apps without flipping out like XP tends to do sometimes. Since nothing will be installed on the new system, except for SAM2 then it won't be an issue. So most likely that is the route I will go. _________________ "Are you not entertained?
