|
SST got only the remake, which music from Bill Conti is imo excellent.
Michel Legrand did, as usual, an excellent music, including the now classic "Windmills of your mind". For those interested, my wife sang this song (in french) at our wedding, with me on the piano
The rest of the score is very jazzy, and the other song "His eyes, her eyes" is also beautiful.
1. Windmills of Your Mind (Theme from The Thomas Crown Affair)
2. Room Service
3. Man's Castle
4. Chess Game
5. Cash and Carry
6. His Eyes, Her Eyes
7. Playing the Field
8. Moments of Love
9. Boston Wrangler
10. Doubting Thomas
11. Crowning Touch
12. Windmills of Your Mind (Theme from The Thomas Crown Affair)
13. His Eyes, Her Eyes _________________ There is no problem that can't be solve without any solution |

Voted too fast Legrand means literally The Great, which is quite true! _________________ "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe" - Blade Runner |

So good they made it twice.
The samples here will play in WinAmp:-
http://www.moviegrooves.com/shop/thomascrownaffaircd.htm
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0001NBMO4/24fmll-20
If this gets added to the play-list, maybe will have a Poll in Miscellaneous to decide which of the soundtracks we think is the best, the 1968 or the 1999 version.
If it is added, will we have Windmills this time, as it is the original version. _________________ "If you can't say something nice... don't say nothing at all" - Thumper (Bambi).

Funny, I could see the results but not vote...
But anyway my vote would be 'Yes, and add any Legrand's score that you can find'.
I liked this jazzy and cool 1960's score!
..and it's not even too expensive on Amazon... |

Oh dear... I did not need to think twice...the advantage of remembering when it came out in the first place!
Age does not always work against me!
