I thought this was an interesting news item.
"The Dark Knight" is not eligible for a "Best Score" Academy Award.
Variety has more:

Well, as I said in chat, "Boo-hoo." 
This has already happened to that score team with Batman Begins, so I assume that this didn't really come as a surprise. They're still angling for plenty of other awards, as you can see from this website they put together here. You can even download the screenplay, if that's your thing.
Now I figure this means that the score will get sympathy votes during the SST awards in a few months. It's not that I'm making it my personal mission to have it not win, but the popularity of the score, and the movie, irk me for reasons I won't go into here, because anyone who's been reading my posts since July knows how I feel.

Hehe good for Hans! I'm sorry to hear the score got booted though. I think that's a silly reason to disqualify it.
