This is the CD release of music by Alan Silvestri performed live by the RTVE Orchestra at the teatro monumental in Madrid, Spain as the finale of the 2nd Soncinemad festival. Silvestri was present and conducted the music himself. He inserted a couple of surprises in some of the arrangements, so it would make a nice and unusual addition to the database. |

Your description makes it sound more compelling given that there are 'surprises' in the arrangements and not just pieced together suites of the music. Based on that I vote yes and hope it is added so that I can discover the 'surprises' _________________ "My Logic is Undeniable" - I, Robot |

The surprises are small but nice, like a full choir during the running theme of the forrest gump suite or a thrilling coda to the heroic theme from the mummy returns. It's definitely worth checking out. Some suites though are just the same as on album. For example, the polar express suite is exactly the same apart from the different performance of course, but the orchestra really did well to capture the silvestri sound. Another thing to know: The sequencing of the cd's tracks does not represent the order the tracks were played during the concert. For example, BTTF came first and forrest gump came last before the encore, which was the beowulf suite (shame its not on this cd, but oh well...better than nothing)
By the way, if you check out this page at the scorepedia http://de.scorepedia.org/wiki/Alan_Silvestri you will find a picture i took the day before the concert at the disk signing session. Silvestri arrived earlier and brought his concert sheets with him. He was basically working right in front of a group of fans who also arrived earlier Cool stuff! |

Well if some of the suites are the same as on other albums they may not be added since SST tries to keep doubles of songs out of the playlist. However, there is a possibility they may be added since they are a live performance as opposed to a studio performance, but that would be up to JERIC since there aren't set rules on what does or doesn't get added.
Very cool photo you took and I'll bet it was pretty cool meeting him and getting his autograph! |

It's yes from me.
Don't forget that "Wings of a film" by Zimmer has lots of theme that are already in the database. So, why not this one? _________________ There is no problem that can't be solve without any solution |
