|
I have contacted the Krakow Festival Office because I could not found the date when it was held in 2010.
I was thinking of combining this festival with a gathering.
Today I received the following email:

Film Music Festival in Krakow will be held between 20 -22 May 2010.
We haven’t disclosed the full program yet. However, what I can say is that
there will be 3rd part of Lord of the Rings trilogy (open air full screening on Full HD 19,32×8,12 meter- screen with live music performed by over 300 musicians on stage)
and that Tan Dun will visit Poland again.
I recommend checking our website www.fmf.fm regularly
to get latest news, photos and videos. |
I was wondering who are interested in this meeting and also thinks he/she is available to go there.
So post here if you want to come. _________________ That's the beauty of music. They can't take that away from you. (Andy Dufresne)

Krakow is a bit far from my town (but again it's close to Polish mountains ) but it's hard to imagine SST gathering any closer so of course I would be interested.
If any help from a person who accidentally speaks better Polish than English would be useful, I'm ready to help too. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

I'm fairly sure I can't go, but I went to the official website, following Sirius's link, and I must say that the poster:
is extremely disturbing. To me, anyway. _________________ I have a book coming out. Wanna see it?

Well how nice to see that spending a couple of days with Sirius made him enthousiastic of my idea of having the European Gathering in Krakow. And what a relief that Molossus will volunteer as help/translator in Poland. Great now things can get started. Last time I discussed this with Molossus (and Dragonfly ?) it was just a wild idea but now we're getting somewhere. And since my last meeting in LA with some US members I just knew a EG can be great fun.
So I hereby fully support realizing a EG in Krakow. _________________

Yep you did. I mentioned it a couple of time in chat that you and molossus wanted something like this this year. I forgot to mention it in this thread. I hope that more (european or not) can come and make it a big gathering. SO to those whor are interested can at least place a note in next year's agenda not to make other appointments on those days.
I am thinking of making a little tour through Europe, visiting countries like Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria. So if you want a meet & greet, just PM me. _________________ That's the beauty of music. They can't take that away from you. (Andy Dufresne)

Before we have a banner, we could spam the chat using this link:

Fortunately it is: so therefore Girlfriend will be able to join us all in Krakow too.
(allthough there is a slight possibility that that would scare off some others ) _________________

You can count on me (and my girlfriend) for now. Maybe not the 4 days, but surely saturday and sunday (depending on which day the LOTR performance is!).
I'm waiting for the program
It would be so great to finally meet you in person !! _________________ Mighty Pirate Captain and happy dad of a little cube cheese |

Great news, Nathanael! I think you should be able to get local Polish cheese called "oscypek" in Krakow (cheese is produced by Polish highlanders from salted sheep milk).
More about oscypek here or here (french version- a bit shorter). _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,
