Oh, NOW I get it. Sometimes I hate the automatic LOLs.
Is there really enough interesting music on these CDs to keep people coming back? I ask this question as neutrally as I can. It just sounds to me like all the score starts to blend together with every other emotional track Giacchino has ever written. Don't get me wrong. I like the show. I've just never been inspired by anything from the score. _________________ I have a book coming out. Wanna see it?

I agree that the major themes tend to run together, but there are also standouts, like Parting Words from Season 1. There are also tracks like I've got a plane to catch, also from season 1, that are unique. I also enjoy how the same themes can appear in so many different ways.

it's about no different to return of the jedi. there are some repeating themes mixed with others to score certain events, and there are new character themes like sawyers. _________________ “Our lives are not our own. Yeah, joyrider, but with Return of the Jedi there are only, what, 2 hours' worth of music. With this, we're on our 5th CD, over 5 hours of music, representing a hundred hours or so of television. That's a lot of material to sift through, especially when you're hearing it one track at a time. It's one of the reasons I'm often lukewarm toward TV soundtracks. It can be more difficult to identify themes and variations when there's so much. If it weren't for Bear McCreary's blog, I don't think I'd have as much appreciation for the BSG soundtracks as I do. _________________ I have a book coming out. Wanna see it?
