The name is rather deceptive though- I'm a girl:) |
You're not the only one in this community who decieves like that. At first I'd guess Angel-eyes were female, Bruiser sounds male to me and so does Victor. |
Ghost Victor sounds male and in this case Victor is male
In my last trip I met him and his boyfriend. _________________ That's the beauty of music. They can't take that away from you. (Andy Dufresne)

Mister Mouse - I love your response. Dresden books are great. And I kid you not, there is an honest to god "Mouse" at my local dogpark.
My nickname.... I have always loved pirates, ever since, well...forever. When I first stared to listen here, I didn't want to let on whether I was male or female.
In real life, Captain Kidd was a bit of a mystery. Wikipedia sums it up by saying he was either one of the most notorious pirates of all time, or he was unjustly vilified and prosecuted as a privateer. So, there you go. So, just like Captain Kidd, I can be a bit of an inigma.
I'm a girl by the way. |

That's so cool. I love the irony- naming a humongous dog 'Mouse'. _________________ They say of the Acropolis where the Parthenon is... |

Le curé
(french, meaning "the priest")
is the nickname of a mob killer in
"Diva" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082269/)
- one of the top ten French movies (by viewers, I guess) and
one of my top ten favorite movies (but I like French movies anyway) -
played by Dominique Pinon, which you might rather know from his more recent movies like "Delicatessen" or "MicMacs".
Why would anyone nickname himself after a bad movie character?
Simplest answer: he always wears an earplug and that's what I do, too, when I am on the laptop listenting ... (he also wears really cool sun glasses...)
More sophistcated answer: I am a hit man, too. Or that's how I feel in my profession. As a fee-only financial consultant with a specialty in procurement of financial services I tend to kill my customers' myths and dreams of getting rich fast through the purchase of financial products banks and insurers like to sell.
Most sophisticated answer: when I first saw the movie as a teen, I identified with the main character, Jules. A young fanatic lover of the pure art of opera.
He wears such a cool red jacket,
I would have loved to live in an abandoned garage, too.
His soundystem - what a dream.
And his moped just seemed so much racier than mine (his girl friends, too..).
Ten years later I identified more with Weinstadt, a guru and philosopher, but most of all a conaisseur of the French way of life. Until today I am still trying to figure out how he made the money to afford his life style. From what you can see in the movie, it certainly didn't involve hard work.
And nowadays, well, I am drifting more and more to like le curé's most negative attitude to basically everthing the outside world is throwing at him. Enjoy the simple things in life, like...
Last but not least: from what I can tell I have the only nickname with an é in it! Now, try to copy that - and thanks, again, sirius... |

Gertrude is derived from a joke name my sister found (Bertrude), so I called her Gladys and she hated it. Upon misplacing my password with that name, I signed up again as Gert. Just a short version of Gertrude. |

I've gotten that a lot here (SST). Just didn't know about the 'common Dutch boy's name' part. It doesn't bother me to hear people refer to me as male- it's amusing. |
