I am having the same "time out" problems with most frames on the site. I call them white zones and have manually refresh them. I'm using chrome and it didn't happen before the switch.
Also, takes a while to post my comments in chat.
Thanks for taking this on Akula and SST does rule! Hope that helps. _________________ "You have great powers, only some of which you have as yet discovered." |

Hey, Akula! First off, love the shark.
Now that you mention it, I have been getting what elmer calls "White zones," and mostly in Firefox. I thought it might be the different browser, but maybe there's something to the new server. _________________ I have a book coming out. Wanna see it?

I also get frequent 'Firefox can't connect' white messages too or 'timed out' messages every time I tab back to the SST screen. _________________ "I like what I hear as a resulting combination of these two strands... something of a combination of familiarity and, for lack of a better word, strangeness." -Alex North |

Oh, and I almost forgot. Sometimes the top frame gets stuck on the last second of a particular track. I have to reload the page to get it to move on. The queue frame sometimes, though not as often, requires the same treatment. _________________ I have a book coming out. Wanna see it?

Adding my 2 cents to the mix... but first wishing to say... THANKS to those who paid extra, Jeric and fans for loading etc.
I too get all the above, and unless I missed the one other factor driving me and Miss Daisy slowly is when I type to the chat room, hit return or send, nothing. wait ... wait... wait.. hit again... wait..
then maybe.
Again I sure do appreciate the time and labors of love coming from on high. _________________ A good sound track will let me relive the movie, I can cry over them as well. Hand me the tissues...please. |

Using Firefox; I keep getting "Page connection has timed out".
I have to refresh the page often. _________________ "America was founded on speed. Hot, nasty, bad-ass speed!"

No problems here except for some slowness in posting messages to the chatroom.
I use Firefox.

I'm rarely having trouble too, not even with chat. Sometimes it takes 3 - 5 seconds for something like the favorites, but that's not all that bad.
Though if I leave the computer on for a few hours, there's a 50% chance one of the page frames will have timed out. A right-click -> refresh will fix that.
I'm using Internet Explorer, but of course, since we're giving the new server hardware the blame here, we shouldn't be looking at the web browser we're using.
I'm quite happy with the website speed currently. _________________ Music is not just made of sounds. It is also made of silence. |

Yes, the new server isn't as broken in and streamlined as the old one, so of course there are issues. But if you're expecting a streaming site with hundreds of listeners to run as smoothly as playing your own personal soundtracks at home, it's not going to happen. They'll get the bugs fixed. They always do. So just enjoy the MASSIVE library and variety of tracks that others request and hit refresh now and then. _________________ So fierce a dragon never seen as levi the unyielding, young maidens scream when he arrives.
