OK and back again,
Here is one of the hotels that has offered me groupaccomodation so far.
This will give you an idea for your hotelcosts.
The Hotel Polonia (3-star with breakfast and WiFi included) has offered us
for the period: 18/5 until 22/5
single room 260 PLN (about 75 euro per room/per night)
double room 280 PLN (about 82 euro per room/ per night)
This is calculated on a group of at least 15 persons. We're not there yet, but it gives an idea.
Furthermore there is a possibility to hire up to 4 furnished appartments
for 4-6 people. This would decrease the cost a lot but you will be sharing it with other SST-members.
configuration for those are : 1 double bed, 2 single bed and 1 double sleepingcouch. These apartments have free Wifi and 1 nice bathroom
(so that has to be shared too)
Price for a 4p. apartment for that period is 415 euro for a 6p apartment
it's 600 euro..
When there's a lot of interest for this I could ask for discount.
I ask for all who already are coming IF you need accomodation and if,
how many persons are in your travelcompany and if you are looking for a single or a double room.
That would include the polish members that live outside Krakow and who want to stay with us. (I guess this excludes marokw and Olaziolek ) _________________

Great job Dutchbat. Thanks!
I did some internet browsing yesterday and picked some hotel offers for consideration too. But I've got them saved on my PC at home. I'll take a look at them today after work and will check how they look against these offers above.
Will let you know more soon. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

Offers I found for 19-22 of May (3 nights). I did not ask for group accomodation:
Hotel Atlantic (3 stars) :
double room - 807 PLN
single room - 618 PLN
(breakfast included, WiFi, free car parking)
Hotel Batory (3 stars):
double room - 1007 PLN
single room - 836 PLN
(breakfast included, WiFi, free car parking)
Hotel Fortuna (3 stars)
double room - 991 PLN
(breakfast included, WiFi, car parking available but extra-paid: 20 PLN/day)
Hotel Pollera (3 stars)
double room - 957 PLN
(free parking, free WiFi, not sure if breakfast is free)
There is also 4 stars offer:
Hilton Garden Inn
double room - 1118 PLN
(free WiFi, but not sure if breakfast is free, parking extra-paid)
But this 4-stars hotel is about 2 km from main Market Square (the rest of hotels above is less than 1 km away from it).
All these offers have one important rule - you must pay all the money when you make a reservation and you won't get your money back if you won't show up at the hotel. If you want to be able to cancel your reservation and get the money back - it will cost a bit more.
BTW: At one of webpages I found couple of not very nice opinions from guests about Polonia Hotel. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

My preferences are simple:
- place for me and my friend to sleep. Preferably not in the same bed
- same hotel/appartmentcomplex as all of you
- parking spot.
How much PLN is a Euro?
Thanks a lot for all the trouble. |

1 euro is about 4 PLN, so that'd become:
Hotel Atlantic:
Double room - 201,75 euro
Single room - 154,50 euro
Hotel Batory:
Double room - 251,75 euro
Single room - 209 euro
Hotel Fortuna:
Double room - 247,75 euro
Hotel Pollera:
Double room - 239,25 euro
Hilton Garden Inn:
Double room - 279,50 euro _________________ Music is not just made of sounds. It is also made of silence. |

Thanks a lot Dutchbat & Molossus!
I'd just need a single room, don't need parking, but need breakfast coffee |

Ow, sorry to hear Xalira.
But we'll hope the best for next year.
Good luck with your singing. And I heard you sing already so that won't be a problem. _________________

See you in 2012 Xalira! Good luck!
BTW: Following joshrob's idea I asked for press accreditation for joshrob (he wants to shoot some nice pictures during Festival, we can add to SST Gallery and to our stories about Festival in Forums) and I got info from Festival Bureau that accreditation will be granted.
Oh, and one more news. I've got no spare tickets for Festival at the moment.
And now I can at last say I've got the tickets. Arrived today on my desk. _________________ <i>"The piano keys are black and white,

Great more new names I can add to the 'Members I met'-thread.
And do not forget to send the shirt size to me for the free FMF/SST Gathering shirt _________________ That's the beauty of music. They can't take that away from you. (Andy Dufresne)
